Pontiac Ratings, Reviews and Awards
The Pontiac lineup is vastly different moving from 2009 into 2010. The 2010 lineup features a notable reduction of models, including the Torrent crossover SUV, G5 compact coupe, subcompact G3, and full-sized G8 sedan. The company instead decided to focus their efforts on their 2010 G6 and Vibe. The Solstice model was also released in limited production quantities. The big reason behind this downshift in model options is that General Motors discontinued the Pontiac brand after the 2010 model year. With that in mind, most of the 2010 models remain unchanged from 2009. The five-passenger Pontiac G6 sedan, for instance, sports the same four-cylinder or six-cylinder engine. Other options include an automatic or manual transmission. The Pontic Vibe hatchback is also unchanged. It carries over its sporty design and choice between a 1.8L four-cylinder engine or 2.4L four-cylinder engine, depending on trim level.
