Pontiac Bonneville Model Years and History

About Bonneville

The Pontiac Bonneville entered 1998 with safer next-gen airbags. Aside from that, the only other changes were minor ones made to trim different levels. For 1999, OnStar was now offered as an option. 2000 marked the year of an all-new Bonneville, redesigned from top to bottom, and boasting new technology features like an integrated chassis control system alongside a stylish body and spacious interior. 2001-2002 saw simple changes made to different trims and addable options, with new wheels to choose from and several new body colors. New 16 wheels graced the base model in 2003, with a CD player being offered as a standard option and optional XM radio. 2004 saw the discontinuation of the SSEi version, which was replaced by the speedy GXP model. The only major change for 2005 was OnStar being made standard across all trims.
