New for 2019:Toyota Cars

For the 2019 model year, redesigned versions of the Avalon full-size sedan and Corolla hatchback debut, while the Prius gets a minor styling update and an available all-wheel-drive system. Sporty special editions of the 86 and Camry are available, and Toyota better aligns its trim levels across all model lineups.

2019 Toyota 86

  • New TRD Special Edition debuts with upgraded brakes, suspension, exhaust, and tires
  • TRD Special Edition comes only in black and is equipped with unique design details inside and out
  • Toyota will make 1,418 copies of the 86 TRD Special Edition
  • New interior color: Red/Black
  • New exterior paint color: Neptune

2019 Toyota Avalon

  • Redesigned full-size sedan
  • XLE, Limited, XSE, and Touring trim levels
  • Available with a 301-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine or a 215-horsepower gas-electric hybrid drivetrain
  • Standard new 8-speed automatic transmission with V-6; hybrid models have a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with Sport driving mode
  • Optional adaptive-damping suspension is a Toyota-first
  • Standard next-generation infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi Connect service, Safety Connect service, Amazon Alexa compatibility, smartwatch compatibility, Scout GPS navigation app, and more
  • Optional 14-speaker, 1,200-watt JBL premium surround-sound system
  • Standard Toyota Safety Sense suite of driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies
  • Optional reverse automatic braking, Panoramic View Monitoring, and Intelligent Clearance Sonar
  • Available Yamaha wood or aluminum interior accents
  • New interior color: Cognac
  • New exterior paint colors: Opulent Amber and Harbor Gray

2019 Toyota Camry

  • New Nightshade Special Edition debuts for the Camry SE
  • Camry Nightshade SE comes with blacked-out trim, black 18-in. wheels, and a black spoiler

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback

  • Redesigned for 2019, replacing the Corolla iM
  • Moved to Toyota’s new global vehicle architecture
  • Available in SE and XSE trim levels
  • Standard 168-horsepower, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine
  • 6-speed manual gearbox with downshift rev matching
  • Available CVT with 10 programmed ratios and a launch gear designed to eliminate displeasing CVT acceleration characteristics
  • Standard sport-tuned suspension
  • Three different next-generation Entune infotainment systems, all with Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Safety Connect service, Wi-Fi Connect service, Scout GPS navigation app, smartwatch compatibility, and more
  • Optional 8-speaker, 800-watt JBL premium sound system
  • Standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite of driver-assistance and collision-avoidance systems, including adaptive cruise control (full-speed range with the CVT), forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with steering assist and lane-tracing assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and road sign recognition

  • Toyota makes no changes to the 2019 Corolla Sedan, which receives a complete redesign for 2020

2019 Toyota Mirai

  • Multiple infotainment system upgrades, including an extra USB port, larger Qi-compatible wireless charging tray, dynamic navigation system, Wi-Fi Connect service, Destination Assist Connect service, and more

2019 Toyota Prius

  • New trim level strategy includes L Eco, LE, XLE, and Limited
  • Toyota Safety Sense is standard on all versions
  • New low-speed all-wheel-drive system is available
  • Updated exterior styling and interior trim
  • New USB 2.1 charging ports, larger Qi-compatible charging pad
  • Top trims get heated steering wheel
  • New exterior paint colors: Supersonic Red and Electric Storm Blue

2019 Toyota Prius C

  • Trim level lineup changes to base L and upgraded LE grades

2019 Toyota Prius Prime

  • Toyota makes no changes to the plug-in hybrid version of the Toyota Prius

2019 Toyota Yaris Liftback

  • Trim lineup is changed to L, LE, and SE
  • Pedestrian detection added to the automatic emergency braking system

2019 Toyota Yaris Sedan

  • Name change drops the “iA”
  • Trim levels added: L, LE, XLE
  • New grille, darker finish for LE and XLE wheels, and available LED headlights
  • New exterior paint color: Icicle
