2017 Honda Ratings, Reviews and Awards
Honda decided to shake up its fuel-efficient vehicle lineup for 2017. After taking the hybrid Accord sedan off of the market in 2016, the brand reintroduced it in 2017, with several notable changes. The 2017 Accord hybrid has more driver safety features than earlier models and a more powerful engine/motor combo. The hybrid has a 2.0-liter inline-4 and AC Synchronous Permanent-Magnet Electric Motor under the hood, with a combined 212 horsepower. It gets 49 mpg/city and 47 mpg/highway. While the Accord plug-in hybrid won't be making a comeback, Honda has introduced a new model of electric cars. The 2017 Honda Clarity was first available as a model powered by hydrogen fuel-cell and included a credit good for up to three years of fill-ups. It has a range of 366 miles The drawback of the Clarity fuel cell is that it is only available in California, although Honda has plans to introduce a plug-in and fully electric model later.
