2017 Cadillac Ratings, Reviews and Awards
Starting in 2017, Cadillac said au revoir to the SRX, replacing it with the all-new, built-from-the-ground-up XT5. A crossover SUV, the XT5 had a completely new design, near engine, and new interior. Notable differences between the SRX and the XT5 included a quieter interior and much more room. Another plus for the XT5 was the improved fuel efficiency. Available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine with either all-wheel or front-wheel-drive, the XT5 gets 27 mpg/highway (FWD) or 26 mpg/highway (AWD). Another noteworthy change to Cadillac's lineup for 2017 was the addition of a hybrid/plug-in version of its CT6 sedan. The hybrid/plug-in CT6 has a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 and AC Dual motor/generator. It can travel for up to 30 miles in electric-only mode and 400 miles total. Despite the electric motor, the hybrid/plug-in CT6 has a roomy trunk.
