SelectBrowse ListingsAfter a model revamp in 2020, the 2021 Cadillac XT5 now comes standard in all-wheel drive.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Cadillac XT5 gets a substantial refresh for the 2020 model year. The biggest change is a new base engine, turbocharged 4-cylinder unit that joins the V6 in the XT5 lineup. The new engine gets slightly better fuel economy, but if owners still want the power of the old V6, it's still available. The other big change for 2020 is to the car's infotainment system which gets the latest generation of software running on a system with an improved rotary controller, better phone pairing, a wireless charger and improved resolution for the gauge cluster. The changes were big enough that the entire center console was redesigned for this year. In addition, a new safety feature labeled Rear Pedestrian Alert has been added as standard, as have heated front seats.
SelectBrowse ListingsWith much of Cadillac's attention on the all-new XT4, the 2019 Cadillac XT5 heads into the new year mostly untouched. There are a handful of shuffled paint schemes, and additional standard equipment appointments for Luxury and Platinum packages and the rear DVD entertainment package also will be dropped.
SelectBrowse ListingsFollowing its debut in 2017, the Cadillac XT5 is largely unchanged for 2018, though all-wheel drive is now available on the base trim.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Cadillac XT5 is a brand new car for 2017, replacing the Cadillac SRX as the midsized crossover in Cadillac's lineup. The automaker went back to the drawing board with the XT5 and as the name would imply, it's a whole new vehicle, sharing virtually nothing with the car it replaces. While designing a new car is a lot of work, starting from step one can yield some pretty serious dividends. Despite being roughly equal in size to the vehicle it replaces, the XT5 is nearly 300 lbs lighter, improving not just acceleration and handling, but fuel economy as well.
SelectBrowse ListingsA replacement to Cadillac's original crossover vehicle, the SRX, the 2017 introduction of the XT5 is an evolution of the American luxury brand's premium compact utility focus. Appearing with a more chiseled look, the Cadillac XT5's front end channels the CT6 sedan while the defined side streaking is reminiscent of the ELR coupe. While the XT5 has a longer wheelbase than the SRX, the newer luxury crossover is slightly shorter in overall length. The added wheelbase is reflected in greater interior space found in a refined Cadillac cabin area. An enhanced Cadillac CUE system, standard Wi-Fi hotspot as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are high-tech interior features found inside the 2017 XT5. Offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, a new 3.6-liter V-6 engine including advanced technologies such as direct injection and Active Fuel Management generates 310 horsepower for the Cadillac XT5 compact premium crossover. The adoption of the XT' designation on the 2017 XT5 is also viewed as an indicator smaller and larger crossovers may be unveiled by Cadillac at a later date.
