About XTS

Debuting for 2013, the Cadillac XTS replaced both the STS and the DTS in becoming the brand’s flagship sedan. As a standard length of 202 inches, the 2013 XTS sedan received a modern, sport-like exterior appearance allowing it to look like a nimble vehicle. Standard Magnetic Ride Control and rear air springs furnished a ride matching the tastes of 21st century drivers. HID headlights, capless fuel filler, adaptive remote start and real wood trim were some of the luxury features all 2013 models were given as standard equipment. Front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains were immediately presented on the XTS matched with a single powerplant. A 3.6-liter V-6 engine featuring variable valve timing as well as gasoline direct injection produced 304 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque.

Providing a different method of driver awareness, the Safety Alert Seat made available on the XTS sedan uses vibrations to warn the motorist of potential issues on the road. The seat would send a vibration to the left or right side depending on what corner of the vehicle a concern arises. Additional high-tech safety equipment offered on the 2013 XTS included Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning as well as front and rear automatic brakes. Designed for five-passenger occupancy, the interior of the Cadillac XTS featured standard dual-zone climate control, illuminated entry lighting as well as Bose audio system.

On Platinum trim XTS models, a three-zone climate control system, 14-speaker surround sound audio array and Opus full-leather seating enhanced the interior. Standard equipped inside all Cadillac XTS is the CUE interface that presented tech-savvy luxury car owners with enhanced connectivity. Eight-inch touch control center display screen, Bluetooth and voice recognition is some key components of the Cadillac CUE system. For 2014, a 410-horsepower, twin-turbocharged V-6 propelled XTS Vsport model was introduced.
