Toyota offers three sedans: The compact 2016 Corolla, the mid-size Camry, and the larger Avalon. There are hybrid versions of the Camry and Avalon available. The 2016 Camry and Corolla are among the best-known nameplates in the industry. The Corolla remains available with four-cylinder power, and depending on trim it can come with a manual transmission, an automatic transmission, or a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). The Camry offers four-cylinder or V-6 power and adds an available Special Edition package for 2016, while the Avalon offers a V-6 and adds a new trim, a revised front end, and a new sporty suspension for the Touring trim level. The Avalon is meant to not just be a large sedan, but also to compete with entry-level luxury vehicles, while the Camry competes against other well-known mid-size nameplates such as the Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, Chrysler 200, and Hyundai Sonata.
