Chevrolet takes a small, medium, large, and extra-large approach to its SUVs, three of which fall under the crossover category. The other two, the Suburban and Tahoe, remain truck-based. For city driving, the diminutive Trax is the best fit, while the Equinox and Traverse are marketed to those who need just a bit more cargo and passenger space. The Trax is powered by a four-cylinder engine, while the Equinox offers four-cylinder and V-6 power. The Equinox is refreshed, and it adds new safety and connectivity tech features, including new driving aids and Apple CarPlay. The Traverse, which is V-6 only, adds a couple new option packages and a wi-fi hotspot. The Tahoe and Suburban make use of powerful V-8 engines to get moving. The Traverse can seat up to eight, while the Tahoe can seat up to nine, as can the Suburban. For 2016, the Tahoe adds a driver-assistance package and Apple CarPlay among other features, and the Suburban makes similar additions.
