The Chevrolet Equinox was fully redesigned in 2025. For 2027, the Equinox carries over with limited changes while adding features including new paint colors, camera connection capabilities when selecting the safety and technology package, HD surround vision with a recorder, a new 8-speed transmission for the FWD trims and added black with red accents in the interior on the RS trims which replace the previous Torch red and Santorini blue stitching.

The Chevrolet Equinox gets a couple changes for 2023

The Chevrolet Equinox gets a few changes for the 2022 model year, refreshed headlights and grille design with updated front and rear bumpers. The Equinox family adds the RS trim with black 19-inch wheels and blackout exterior finishes for a sportier look. Also, Chevrolet has dropped the turbocharged 2.0 L 4-cyl engine heading into the new year.

For 2021, the Chevrolet Equinox carries over with no significant changes. A refreshed version is now expected for 2022.

The Chevrolet Equinox gets several changes for the 2020 model year. Automatic emergency braking, forward-collision alert, lane-departure warning and assist plus automatic high beams now come standard on all trims. Also, Chevrolet has dropped the diesel engine option for this year.

Chevrolet also introduces a "Lights and Bright" package offered on the 1LT, which includes 19-inch wheels, LED headlights and taillights. Inside, a new multi-color driver information display replaces the monochrome one from last year's model.

The newly re-designed Chevrolet Equinox aims to compete in the red-hot crossover market. On the outside the Equinox is noticeably smaller and weighs almost 400 pounds less. The interior design takes advantage of Equinox' new architecture with its down-and-away instrument cluster and low windshield base for better visibility. A choice of three new turbo charged engines add a new powerful and economic element to an already successful platform.

The Equinox remains mostly unchanged for 2017 though the top of the line LTZ trim has been renamed and is now dubbed the Premier trim. A new Midnight Package comes with black paint, black exterior accents and black wheels along with a black leather interior. A new Sport package on the other hand, includes all of the above minus the black paint, instead replacing it with a bright shade of white.

For 2016, the Chevrolet Equinox features a revised grille, new projector headlights and LED daytime running lights. Cloth upholstery in the new base L trim and LS trims is now higher quality, while LT and LTZ trims can be optioned with a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert.

Chevrolet has added mobile Wi-Fi hotspot technology to the Chevrolet Equinox for 2015, allowing the vehicle to serve as a mobile hub for Wi-Fi enabled devices. Two new colors are also available for 2015.

The Chevrolet Equinox hits 2013 with only one substantial change. The 264-horsepower 3.0L V6 of previous years is replaced by a more powerful 3.6L, which produces 301 horsepower and 272 foot-pounds of torque. The new engine is estimated to deliver 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. Elsewhere, the Equinox LTZ receives a newly tuned suspension and the optional Safety Package from 2012 now standard on the LTZ and available on the 2LT.

Following a thorough redesign in 2010, the Chevrolet Equinox hits 2012 with no real changes, aside from a few trim updates. Cyber Gray Metallic and Cardinal Red Metallic have been dropped from the list of available colors, but new chrome 18-inch wheels are now available. Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system has also been added. New standard features include Bluetooth, rear-view camera, collision warning and lane departure warning.

Following a thorough redesign in 2010, the Chevrolet Equinox hits 2011 with no real changes, though the V6 is now a FlexFuel-capable.

The 2010 Chevy Equinox features a unibody construction with clean sculpted lines and prominent wheel arches. New for 2010 is a standard 2.4L direct-injection 4-cylinder Ecotec engine, with 182 horsepower at 6700 rpm and 172 pounds-feet of torque at 4900 rpm. An optional 3.0L V6 engine with 264 horsepower and 214 pounds-feet of torque is available on all but the base LS model. Gone is the 3.4L V6 engine from 2009, yet the new 2.4L engine delivers mileage of 21 city / 30 highway.

For 2009, new features on the Chevrolet Equinox include standard XM satellite radio and available Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. A rollover sensor and head curtain side-impact airbags for front and rear outboard seating positions are now standard on all models. Sandstone Metallic, Granite Gray Metallic and Silverstone Metallic exterior colors have been replaced by Silver Ice Metallic, Gold Mist Metallic and Cyber Gray Metallic.

For 2008, the new Chevy Equinox Sport gets a 264-horsepower, 3.6L V6 engine, six-speed automatic transmission, sport-tuned suspension, and unique interior appointments. There's also a new Equinox LTZ that sits above the existing LS and LT models in the pecking order. The LS and LT get a retuned suspension, and electronic trailer sway control is now integrated with StabiliTrak and is standard across the line. Three new exterior colors are offered: Navy Blue Metallic, Black Granite Metallic, and Golden Teal Metallic.

For 2007, Chevrolet has added stability control to the Equinox as standard equipment. There is also a whole new instrument cluster and center stack. Four-wheel disc brakes are now standard, as are head curtain air bags. There are some revised exterior color choices and new aluminum wheels. Plus, you'll find an increased cruising range, thanks to a gas tank that is four gallons larger.
