Conforming to the recently-redesigned CTS sedan, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V makes a thunderous arrival with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 556-horsepower. The most powerful Cadillac ever-produced, Magnetic Ride Control and larger disc brakes are also found on the new CTS-V. Cadillac officially enters the premium hybrid vehicle market in 2009 through the introduction of the Escalade Hybrid. The 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is primarily powered by a 6.0-liter V-8 engine but is aided by a special 2-mode automatic transmission and other electrified components provide the sport utility vehicle with better fuel economy. Stopping power for the 2009 Cadillac DTS is also enhanced with the use of a corrosion-resisting Ferritic Nitrocarburizing process applied to the brake rotors.
