This month marks the debut of Mercedes’ new EQS 580 4MATIC Sedan City Edition, an exclusive series limited to 150 vehicles, available only in the greater Los Angeles area. The EQS City Edition expands upon the standard EQS model range, offering a comprehensive package incorporating charging features, micro-mobility, and local community connections.
Senol Bayrak, Vice President of Sales and Product Management for Mercedes-Benz USA, remarked, "This first-of-its-kind vehicle brings convenience, luxury, and enhanced performance that our customers have come to know and love as we continue our journey to an all-electric future."

The EQS City Edition goes above and beyond by including a 2-year unlimited 30-minute free charging plan on Electrify America's DC network, 2-years of complimentary maintenance, and a collaboration with ChargePoint, providing a free ChargePoint Home Flex charger to each City Edition customer. Furthermore, a credit of up to $1,000 with Qmerit is available for charger installation, and Qmerit Concierge is included to provide enhanced support throughout the installation process. A $250 credit is also added to Mercedes me Charge for public charging on the ChargePoint network, ensuring customers can quickly recharge their vehicles with a 340-mile range.
In addition to these charging features, each EQS City Edition customer receives a one-year all-access subscription to the Unagi Model One Voyager electric scooter, offering a range of up to 25 miles. This subscription covers insurance and maintenance while allowing customers to choose their scooter's color, providing a complementary micro-mobility option alongside the EQS City Edition driving experience.
Mercedes-Benz Urban Mobility Solutions focuses on improving safety and driving experiences by leveraging the advanced sensor technology found within the EQS sedan family. When customers consent to share anonymized data, they can actively contribute to real-world improvements, such as identifying potential safety concerns, providing insights leading to fewer accidents, and detecting issues like potholes. Mercedes-Benz has partnered with cities in the U.S. and Europe to use this expertise to make cities safer and more efficient.
In their commitment to giving back to the community, Mercedes-Benz Urban Mobility Solutions has partnered with Safe Kids Worldwide, an organization dedicated to preventing injuries and promoting safety in families and communities. For each EQS 580 City Edition sold, MBUSA will donate to a local Safe Kids California coalition, emphasizing their dedication to enhancing community safety.
The EQS City Edition showcases its exclusivity with a unique badge on the exterior and center console, highlighting the limited nature of this unique model. To commemorate the first-ever launch in Southern California, the badge artwork features an outline of the state of California, indicating that the vehicle is one of only 150 units.
Customers can choose from two designer-curated color selections for the EQS City Edition. The first option features MANUFAKTUR Diamond White Metallic paint with Macchiato Beige and Space Grey Leather. In contrast, the second selection boasts Twilight Blue Metallic paint with Neva Grey and Sable Brown Leather. Both options come with Natural Grain Yacht-design Walnut Wood trim, and sporty AMG wheels complete the exterior look.
The EQS City Edition is equipped with Energizing Air Control Plus, featuring HEPA filtration. This 3-stage air filtration system can remove 99 percent of particulate pollution, similar to an operating room. Activated charcoal filtration also removes ultrafine particles, smog, and odors from the cabin air, ensuring a clean and pleasant driving environment. A dashcam is included among a wealth of other features, enhancing the overall driving experience.

The Urban Mobility Solutions division was established with the goal of making cities more livable by providing safe, sustainable, efficient, and accessible mobility products. The division aims to create shared value in urban environments by leveraging Mercedes-Benz's mobility expertise. The EQS City Edition presents a unique opportunity for Los Angeles residents to experience a comprehensive mobility package that combines luxury, performance, and sustainability in a limited-edition vehicle.
