Kia has announced changes to the 2022 Soul, a personality-infused multi-purpose vehicle that the automaker markets as a small crossover SUV.
If you’re of a “save the manuals” or a frugal mindset, get thee to a Kia dealership as soon as is possible because the company is canceling the LX trim level’s standard 6-speed manual gearbox. Now, the 2022 Soul LX comes with a continuously variable transmission as standard equipment, and the least expensive model starts at $20,365 (including destination).
The Soul LX also adds a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system for 2022, while all other versions of the Soul get a standard 10.25-inch touch-sensing display with a navigation system. The 2022 Kia Soul comes in LX, S, X-Line, GT-Line, and EX trim levels, all equipped with a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Additionally, a Turbo model tops the lineup and features a 201-hp 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. You’ll find 2022 Kia Soul prices range from $20,365 to $28,965, including the destination charge, and the vehicle goes on sale during the second half of 2021.
