Prices for the all-new 2021 Kia K5 are leaking all over the internet, and show that in spite of significant improvements, the new midsize sedan will cost just a little bit more than the Optima it replaces in the automaker’s lineup.

Here is the breakdown of what the new 2021 Kia K5 costs:
All prices include a destination charge of $965 to ship the car from Kia’s West Point, Georgia assembly plant to your local dealership.
Kia plans to offer several options and packages for the new K5 sedan. Perhaps of most importance to people who live in areas that see snow during the winter, all-wheel drive is optional with LXS and GT-Line trim. It adds $2,100 to the K5 LXS and $3,700 to the K5 GT-Line.
Choose GT-Line or EX trim, and the new K5 is available with a Premium Package that upgrades the car in terms of exterior appearance, interior features, and driving assistance technologies. It costs $1,600 for the GT-Line and $3,400 for the EX trim. The GT-Line with AWD can also be optioned with a Special Edition Package ($800) equipping the car with special Wolf Gray paint, gloss black exterior details, and a panoramic sunroof.
At the top of the Kia K5 lineup, the GT is available with a GT1 Package ($4,000) that installs a 10.3-inch widescreen display, a natural voice recognition system, a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system with Active Sound Design, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, full LED headlights, upgraded driving assistance technology, and more.
Kia says the 2021 K5 will go on sale this summer, with the AWD versions and the GT variant to follow later.
