Christian Wardlaw | Dec 07, 2020

Hyundai has announced prices for the refreshed 2021 Santa Fe, which arrives in U.S. dealerships by the end of December 2020.

The least expensive model is the Santa Fe SE with front-wheel drive, which costs $26,850. The most expensive model is the Santa Fe Calligraphy, a new high-end luxury version that includes standard all-wheel drive, and it starts at $42,100. The prices do not include a destination charge of $1,175 to ship the SUV from Hyundai’s Montgomery, Alabama assembly plant to your local dealership.

Though it was all-new for the 2019 model year, Hyundai has significantly overhauled the 2021 Santa Fe. In addition to the upscale Calligraphy trim, the new Santa Fe features revised front and rear styling, new powertrains, new and enhanced advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), and upgraded infotainment technology.

Available in SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy trim, the 2021 Santa Fe offers a choice between a 191-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and a turbocharged version of that engine making 277 hp and 311 lb.-ft. of torque. The Santa Fe turbo is offered only with Limited and Calligraphy trim, and it employs an 8-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission rather than the standard 8-speed automatic. Santa Fes are front-wheel drive unless equipped with all-wheel drive.

New Hyundai SmartSense safety features include cyclist detection and intersection assistance, which can prevent a driver from making an unsafe turn across oncoming traffic. Reverse automatic braking is also available, along with smart adaptive cruise control that takes upcoming curves in the road into consideration. Next-generation Highway Drive Assist is also available, along with a new Remote Smart Parking Assist system that autonomously moves the SUV forward and back while the driver stands outside of the vehicle.

Digital Key joins the feature list for the 2021 Santa Fe, and the infotainment system offers wireless smartphone charging as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Improved natural voice recognition makes it possible to adjust the radio and climate functions with spoken commands, in addition to navigation requests. A 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display is also available for the 2021 Santa Fe.

During the course of 2021, Hyundai will also introduce both hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the Santa Fe. Prices for these electrified versions will be available closer to their on-sale dates.
