Luxury SUVs not only afford drivers the functionality and high driving position that all SUVs offer, but they also provide a posh driving experience. Along with the high-end design, gorgeous materials, and the latest in safety and infotainment technology, these are vehicles that make driving anywhere a more enjoyable and refined experience.

Whether your needs run toward small, medium, or large, luxury automakers offer a plethora of choices in the segment. And if you’re curious to see which are the best luxury SUVs for quality according to the consumers who own them, J.D. Power has the answer.

2021 BMW X4 Teaser

The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS) pores through tens of thousands of survey results of verified new-vehicle owners every year. Survey respondents have had their cars, trucks, and SUVs for more than 90 days and report on their problems with them, ranging from minor irritations to significant issues. Based on this consumer-sourced feedback, J.D. Power calculates a “problems per 100 vehicles” (PP100) score for each model. The lower the PP100, the fewer reported issues; thus, the higher the vehicle’s quality.

Below, you’ll find the 11 highest-rated luxury SUVs in quality, according to those who own and drive them. This list includes high-end sport-utes of all sizes, in descending order by PP100 score. This means that the model with the highest quality and lowest PP100 score is at the end of the list.
