2018 Yaris iA

Despite the demise of Scion, the iA carries over into 2018 fundamentally unchanged. The big difference is that buyers will now have to find a Toyota showroom rather than a Scion showroom to get their hands on the compact sedan. The Scion iA has been redubbed the Toyota Yaris iA and can now be found exclusively in Toyota dealerships.

About 4Runner

The 1998 4Runner featured new rotary HVAC controls, an updated steering wheel and new audio control head units. In 1999, Toyota updated the four-wheel-drive system, added a new front bumper with new multi-reflector headlamps, and made some changes to the upper trim levels. No major changes were store for the 2000 4Runner, but all trim levels received subtle updates to different options. New 15” wheels were added as a standard feature with updated body color options for 2001.

In 2002, Toyota released an all-new 4Runner with more room, more options, new engine choices, including a V8, and a long list of standard features. Following the major overhaul, not much changed for the 2002 model year. In 2003, the V6 engine models got a new five-speed automatic transmission, and the V8 engine was updated to deliver 270 hp. Toyota also added a rollover sensor, and updated the stability control system to include a limited-slip differential. 2006 saw an updated exterior style, complete with new bumpers, lower cladding and a new grille.

The carmaker also added thicker windshields, and an auxiliary jack on the stereo. 2007 saw no major updates. But in 2008, the 4Runner got new side curtain airbags. Nothing was new for 2009, with Toyota issuing a complete redesign for 2010 that offered more off-road options. In 2011, Toyota discontinued the four-cylinder engine models. A new sound system with the Entune connectivity system was the only major update for 2012, with only subtle changes to trim levels being made in 2013. For 2014, the 4Runner offered a new exterior style with new headlamps, an updated interior and a new touchscreen console for the stereo that included a backup camera.
