The 2010 Saturn Vue is little changed from the previous year, with the most notable change being the elimination of the Red Line trims. The 4-cylinder engines have a bit more power this year, and a much anticipated 2-mode hybrid model, also known as the "Green Line", will be available once again for 2010.
SelectBrowse ListingsFollowing a complete redesign last year, the 2009 Saturn Vue carries over with only a few changes. Most notable is the introduction a new hybrid engine in the Vue Hybrid. The 262-hp system was developed as a joint project with Chrysler and BMW and combines a 3.6-liter variable-valve timing direct-injection V6 with the two-mode hybrid system. This allows the small SUV can run solely on engine power, on battery power, or on a combination of the two. Also new to the Vue lineup are Bluetooth handsfree connectivity and a remote starting system on the hybrid. The AM/FM CD stereo with MP3 player and DVD-based navigation is no longer available on XE models, and a few exterior colors have changed.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe 2008 Saturn Vue has been completely redesigned inside and out, with a more arced roofline and better-detailed front and rear styling, plus slightly longer and wider overall dimensions. GM also claims that the Vue now offers the widest range of powertrains in its segment. Plastic body panels, a Saturn-exclusive long-touted as superior for corrosion and dent resistance, are now gone, replaced by conventional sheetmetal. The Honda-sourced V6 has also been discontinued.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Saturn VUE welcomed a new variant for 2007: the VUE Green Line hybrid. Along with a host of upgraded standard equipment, the VUE Green Line was estimated by the EPA to achieve 27 mpg in the city and 32 on the highway. For the base VUE and the VUE V6, Laser Blue has been replaced by Deep Blue, and there are new 16- and 17-inch wheels available.
SelectBrowse ListingsSaturn joined the growing sport/crossover utility market in 2002 with the Vue. The first-generation Saturn Vue carried-over many of the innovative features exhibited in the brand's existing sedan, wagon and coupe models. Coupled with a familiar exterior styling inspiration, the Saturn Vue wears dent-resistant polymer body panels. Providing generous interior proportions for five passengers and cargo, the 2002 Vue also proved to be flexible in regards to equipment. A four-cylinder engine was available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive while an optional V-6 engine generated 181 horsepower on the 2002 Saturn sport utility vehicle. Initially available only with all-wheel drive models of the Vue, the six-cylinder engine was introduced to the front-wheel drive variant in 2003. For 2004, the Saturn Vue received a decisively sporty Red Line. Equipped with a lowered suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels, momentum for the Vue Red Line came from a 250-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine. All 2006 models of the Saturn Vue received a styling refresh while a mild hybrid Green Line version was made available for 2007. A completely new Saturn Vue compact crossover appeared with a more mature look as well as the choice between four-cylinder, six-cylinder and a hybrid powertrains. Built on a version of General Motors' Theta platform (the basis for the 2009 Chevrolet Equinox as well as the 2010 GMC Terrain), 2008 Vue was the only shorter wheelbase variant sold in the United States. The Saturn Vue was discontinued in 2010 but the vehicle reappeared in 2012 as the Chevrolet Captiva Sport.
