About Dawn

Rolls-Royce ushered in a new drop-top driving experience with the Dawn convertible in 2016. The Rolls-Royce Dawn became the third use of a BMW-shared platform also used with the 7 Series sedan joining the Ghost and the Wraith. In the case of the Dawn convertible, body panels are 80 percent unique to the specific model while a six-later soft-top roof provides luxurious shelter in less than ideal weather. Taking just 20 seconds to retract, the soft roof quietly operated in a manner Rolls-Royce dubbed "The Silent Ballet". Through coach doors, entry to the Rolls-Royce Dawn's 2+2 passenger interior incorporates a bucket-style leather seat for each occupant. With luxury came power through the debut of the Rolls-Royce Dawn. Able to propel the convertible from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 4.9 seconds, a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V-12 engine produces 563 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque. Applying engine power in a masterful manner, the Rolls-Royce Dawn operates with a Satellite Aided Transmission using GPS data to select between eight gears. For 2018, The Rolls-Royce Dawn becomes a recipient of Black Badge tailoring. Coated with six layers of black paint, black canvas convertible top and a specially-crafted interior featuring Mandarin highlights, the Dawn Black Badge also receives a 30-horsepower performance boost.
