Debuting in 2004, the GTO by Pontiac was an all-new performance automobile that had gained popularity in Australia prior to being released in the U.S. In 2005, a faster 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine was added, offering a whopping 400 horsepower, an increase of 50 from the previous year, and 395 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 40. A new dual exhaust system (split) offered more vroom, and an available hood scoop and two new body colors rounded out the changes for that year. The GTO would crossover into 2006 mostly unchanged.
