2007 Montego

The mid- to full-size Mercury Montego sedan, which was introduced for 2005, gets only a few minor changes for 2007. The Montego now has increased standard safety equipment, including front-seat side air bags and Safety Canopy side curtain air bags with rollover protection. Sirius satellite radio is a new option, and a power driver's seat is standard on the base model. Also, new 18-inch chrome wheels are newly available, along with two new colors: Dune Pearl Clearcoat Metallic and Alloy Clearcoat Metallic. The Montego will be renamed the Sable for model year 2008.

About Montego

Introduced in 2005, the Montego by Mercury was a full-sized family sedan that was built on the S80 Volvo chassis. It was offered in all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive, powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine that was rated at 203 horsepower. A new aluminum trim, optional GPS system and rear DVD system, as well as updated audio controls, graced the 2006 Montego. Safety was the focus of the 2007 model, where seat-mounted side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags were made standard in addition to traction control. New options offered satellite radio and 18” alloy wheels. Mercury increased their drivetrain warranty to five years/60,000 miles for all models, too.
