2010 Mercury Milan trims

2010 Milan

The Mercury Milan has undergone some significant changes for 2010. Chief among them is the addition of a new gas/electric hybrid model to the lineup, which Mercury claims will deliver 41 mpg city/36 mpg highway, making it the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan in America. Elsewhere in the Milan model range, the standard 4-cylinder gets a bump in displacement from 2.3 to 2.5 liters, helping horsepower climb from 160 to 175. The 3.0-liter V6 jumps from 221 horsepower to 240. Both engines boast improved fuel economy. Exterior styling has been refined to offer a more sophisticated, up-market appearance, while interiors sport a more contemporary look with metallic finishes and an all-new instrument panel. The Milan starts around $21,000, with the hybrid priced at $27,500.

2009 Mercury Milan trims

2009 Milan

The Milan gets a number of small changes to 2009 standard and optional equipment. Traction control is now a standard feature on V-6 models, as is stability control. Satellite radio is now standard on the entire line, and ambient lighting is now standard on the Premier. A new "runway-inspired" VOGA model ramps up the Milan's style with Cashmere inserts, special film appliques, chrome accents and chrome-clad wheels and seat embroidering. Several new paint colors are now available: Brilliant Silver Metallic, Smokestone Metallic, Sport Blue Metallic, Tuxedo Black Metallic and White Platinum Tri-coat.

2008 Milan

Like its Ford Fusion sibling, the 2008 Mercury Milan gets a new voice-activated navigation system, keyless entry, and a back-up parking sensor. Features added later in the model year include ambient interior lighting and Mercury's SYNC system, which integrates wireless devices and music players with the car. Pricing across the model range has changed little.

2007 Mercury Milan trims

2007 Milan

Despite being introduced in 2006, Mercury has upped the ante for the 2007 Milan in the safety area. Both head curtain and side air bags have been added as standard equipment for 2007. Also, four-wheel anti-lock brakes are standard instead of being optional equipment, and V6 models come with traction control. Premier models get automatic temperature control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and fog lamps.

About Milan

The Milan was introduced in 2006, offered as a brand-new family sedan that featured a signature design with four-cylinder or V6 engine options. For 2007, Mercury upped the ante with standard equipment, adding ABS, side airbags, side curtain airbags, folding front passenger seat and traction control. The carmaker also expanded the powertrain warranty to five-years/60,000-miles. A keyless entry keypad was the big addition for 2008, with updates to all optional packages being made. Aside from option package updates, it was the same as usual for 2009. A drastically updated Milan rolled off the line in 2010, offering better fuel economy, a six-speed transmission and new interior and exterior styling. Express power windows, spotter mirrors and new options marked the only changes for 2011.
