About Ghibli

Fueled by the word ‘Ghibli' (relating to a hot, desert wind), Maserati added some heat to the sport sedan marketplace in 2014. The Ghibli became Maserati's new entry-level luxury four-door. Sharing the Italian-sourced, coupe-like profile and a great deal of mechanicals with the larger Quattroporte, the Maserati Ghibli reflects the advantages found in a compact form. Roughly 110 pounds lighter and 11.45 inches shorter in overall length compared to Quattroporte, the Ghibli's lively sport suspension delivers stable handling for rear-wheel drive or an optional S Q4 all-wheel drive model. Inside the Maserati Ghibli, high-end craftsmanship, leather and technology is presented with multiple appearance options. A new potent yet fuel efficient twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine has been introduced in two power output options mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Base equipped Ghibli's are defined with a 345-horsepower level while the Ghibli S Q4 featured a 404-horsepower engine for 2014. Starting in 2016, a rear-wheel drive Ghibli S premiered in the United States provided an alternative configuration with the higher output powerplant.
