2017 Lincoln MKZ trims

2017 MKZ

The Lincoln MKZ gets a complete redesign for 2017. Gone is the unpopular and somewhat awkward corporate grill that Lincoln was trying out. It's been replaced with a much more conventional looking grill, to go along with sophisticated new styling on the rest of the vehicle. The interior has also been given a thorough refresh, with high quality materials abound. On the mechanical side of things, a brand new top of the line turbocharged engine is available, producing enough power to make the brand new MKZ a genuinely fast car.

2013 Lincoln MKZ trims

2013 MKZ

For 2013, Lincoln has completely redesigned the MKZ. The new car boasts a sleek, 4-door "coupe" look, with split front grille reminiscent of Lincoln's pre-war Zephyr and a band of LED taillights that spans the width of the car. Up top is a panoramic glass roof, and under the hood, buyers will have the choice of three engines: a turbocharged 240-hp 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder; a 300-hp 3.7L V6; or, in the MKZ Hybrid, a 2.0L 4-cylinder paired with an electric motor good for 188 hp. The Hybrid should deliver an EPA-estimated 47 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway. Inside, the cabin is loaded with premium leather and wood trim, as well as a 10-inch LCD instrument panel rather than traditional gauges. An 8-inch touchscreen display with touch-sensitive climate controls occupies the revised center stack. Finally, the 2013 MKZ boasts plenty of standard and optional high-tech safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, parking assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert, collision mitigation braking and airbags placed within the rear seatbelts.

2007 MKZ

The 2006 Lincoln Zephyr becomes the Lincoln MKZ for 2007. Besides the nameplate change, there's big news under the hood. About MKZ

In 2007, Lincoln announced the name-change, renaming the Zephyr to the MKZ. They also introduced the new name with some major updates. These included tech updates like satellite radio (optional), a new drivetrain warranty that spanned six years/70,000-miles, and a larger, more powerful engine; a 3.5-liter V6 that could produce 263 horsepower (43 more horsepower than the previous year’s model). The 2008 MKZ offered ventilated and climate-controlled seats as well as satellite radio as standard options. The Synch communication system was introduced as standard gear, too, with new voice-command, and reverse parking sensors were introduced as an optional upgrade. The only notable change for the 2009 model year was the addition of standard electronic stability control. The 2010 MKZ received a lengthy list of updates and updates. Notably, it included better fuel economy, an updated interior and exterior style, a new gauge cluster, and updates to various optional packages and trim levels. While no changes were made for the 2011 model, the 2012 version rolled off the line completely redesigned. The MKZ would carry over to 2014 relatively unchanged.
