The 2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport is not a complete carryover, as it receives several updates to its technology and trim structure. Primarily it has been simplified to a single, newly introduced Landmark Edition trim level. This new edition effectively replaces the previous S and Dynamic SE trims and comes with an increase in standard equipment.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport continues into 2022 with a few extra features including heated seats, power liftgate, and wireless phone charger. A new Third row package includes air vents and USB port with the third-row seats. There are two new colors as option: Ostuni Pearl White and Lantau Bronze.

For 2021 the Land Rover Discovery gets a refreshed exterior, updated infotainment system, a reduced number of trims and new engine configurations while the diesel engine is discontinued.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport continues into 2020 with a few extra features and updates to make the vehicle even easier to live with. There is a newly available upgraded infotainment system with better built in compatibility for smartphones, featuring both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some of the drivetrain software has been improved, adding to the Discovery Sport's already impressive off-roading capability. An optional mild-hybrid system improves fuel efficiency.

After some big platform developments last year, the 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport rolls into the new year mostly unchanged aside the addition of a new Landmark edition and an updated infotainment system.

The biggest news for the Land Rover Discovery Sport is the addition of a new, more powerful version of the 2.0L turbocharged engine. The new engine is available on both the HSE and HSE luxury trims but not on the SE. In addition, the Discover Sport has updated front seats for a little bit of extra comfort.

For 2017, Land Rover boasts the new InControl Touch Pro with a larger screen, better graphics and faster response times. 15 new metallic paint options and new safety features including Driver Condition Monitor, Speed Limiter and Lane Keep Assist are combined with the new Intelligent Dynamics pack that has an adaptive suspension and an active all-wheel-drive system that can power only two wheels for improved fuel economy.

For 2016, Land Rover have added their InControl Remote and InControl Protect Systems to the Discovery Sport. The InControl systems will allow drivers to use their smartphones to check the status of their vehicle, lock and unlock their doors, start their engine or even remotely activate their climate control.

The 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport is a new premium compact SUV and the first in a new range of Discovery vehicles. It features available seating for seven passengers, a 240-horsepower turbocharged 2.0L engine and 9-speed automatic transmission, standard all-wheel drive, and the incredible refinement for which Land Rover is known. Fuel economy is rated at an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Pricing starts at $37,995.
