2019 GMC Sierra 1500 trims

2019 Sierra 1500

The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 rests upon an entirely new platform this year. It's longer, has more interior space, and shows off a handsome exterior facelift that further differentiates itself in a meaningful way from its counter-part the Chevy Silverado. Exclusive features include adaptive dampeners, a split folding tailgate, a carbon fiber cargo box, and C-shaped lighting elements to name just a few. The Crew cabs longer wheelbase makes way for 3 more inches of leg room in the back seat. All trims are built on a lighter frame and suspension components with aluminum hood and door panels saves 360 pounds over its predecessor. Also new for 2019 is Dynamic Fuel Management, which is designed to fine-tune the balance between efficiency and power demand. It lets the engine operate anywhere between two and eight cylinders depending on load.

2007 GMC Sierra 1500 trims

2007 Sierra 1500

The GMC Sierra 1500 has been completely redesigned for 2007, with more attention to interior appointments, luxury features, and driving refinement. Like its forbears, the new Sierra is available in a wide range of combinations, determined from three different cab styles, three cargo box lengths, three trim levels, five suspensions, and various V6 and V8 engines. The new Sierra is built on a new fully boxed frame and has a wider track than the previous model for improved stability. A new coil-over-shock front suspension and a new rack-and-pinion steering unit improve ride and handling. StabiliTrak is available on the Sierra for the first time. Warranty coverage is increased for 2007, with five years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage that's fully transferable and includes roadside assistance for the full period. The former Sierra is still being sold for 2007 as the Sierra Classic, so some dealerships are referring to the new models by their factory designation, GMT900, to avoid confusion.

About Sierra 1500

Replacing the GMC badged version of General Motors’ C/K pickup truck line, the GMC Sierra 1500 was extensively reengineered for 1999. The 1999 GMC Sierra was launched as a regular cab and extended cab model with rear access doors. A crew cab version of the Sierra was not added until the 2005 model year. Propulsion options for the 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 consisted of a 4.3-liter V-6 powerplant as well as 255-horsepower 4.8-liter and 270-horsepower 5.3-liter V-8 engines.

In 2001, GMC launched a high-class version of the Sierra 1500 called the C3. Featuring a unique appearance and several high-quality features such as Dynamic Brake Propositioning System, the GMC Sierra C3 would continue as the Sierra Denali in 2002. 2002 also brought an innovative feature to the GMC Sierra 1500. A four-wheel steering system called Quadrasteer was briefly available on the GMC Sierra 1500 (standard on the 2002 Sierra Denali). Due to the high-price of the technology and lack of consumer interest, Quadasteer was discontinued after a few years.

In 2004, a hybrid model of the GMC Sierra 1500 was introduced with a starter generator and torque converter providing fuel savings as well as mobile auxiliary power. The GMC Sierra 1500 received an all-new platform and design for the 2007 model year. A 4.3-liter V-6, 4.8-liter V-8, 5.3 liter V-8 and a 367-horsepower 6-liter V-8 engine powered the 2007 GMC Sierra. A new hybrid version of the GMC Sierra was introduced for 2009 combining two electric motors with a 6-liter V-8 gasoline engine. For 2014, the GMC Sierra is all new powered by a choice of EcoTec3 engines.
