SelectBrowse ListingsThe Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is a brand-new car from Aston Martin for the 2019 model year. Though it is based heavily on the DB11 grand tourer, the DBS cranks everything up another notch or two. The DBS is far faster and more hardcore than the DB11 with far more aggressive aerodynamics and a more powerful version of its turbocharged V12. The car also makes extensive use of lightweight materials to keep weight down as much as possible, though being an Aston Martin still means always providing a high level of comfort and luxury for anyone lucky enough to be seated in the DBS.
SelectBrowse ListingsWhile the DBS coupe remains unchanged (it first rolled off the assembly line in 2008, making it fairly fresh), a convertible DBS Volante has been added to the lineup for 2010. Other than the cloth top, which disappears behind a tonneau cover when it's down, the Volante is the same highly crafted piece of machinery as its coupe sibling. A DBS Carbon Black Special Edition, built in concert with Bang & Olufsen sound systems, will be available in summer 2010.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe 2009 DBS is Aston Martin's new flagship sports car in the English sports car maker's lineup. It carries over from 2008 virtually unchanged. Base prices have increased by about $7000 over last year.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe first generation Aston Martin DBS appeared in 1967 as an intended replacement to the DB6. Appearing as a fastback with squarer proportions than previous Aston Martin models, the 1960s DBS was initially powered by a 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine before it was upgraded with a V-8 powerplant in 1970. Reintroduced in 2007, the Aston Martin DBS took a position of being the sports car builder's flagship thanks to a 510-horsepower V-12 engine. The new DBS' power was matched by high-end ride control with the inclusion of an Adaptive Damping System and ventilated carbon ceramic disc brakes. Originally available only as a coupe, the DBS line-up expanded with the inclusion of the Volante convertible in North American for 2010. Both generations of the Aston Martin DBS have participated in James Bond movies. The former version appeared in On Her Majesty's Secret Service while the latter vehicle was used in Casino Royale.
