New for 2018:Ford Trucks, SUVs, and Vans

Ford updates the F-150 pickup truck—the best-selling vehicle in America—with new drivetrains, equipment, and styling details. Also for 2018, a new subcompact crossover SUV called the EcoSport arrives, the midsize Explorer SUV is freshened, and the full-size Expedition SUV is completely redesigned. Other SUV, truck, and van models see relatively minor changes for 2018.

2018 Ford EcoSport

  • New subcompact, 5-passenger crossover SUV
  • Pronounced “Echo-Sport” not “Eeeko-Sport”
  • S, SE, SES, and Titanium trim levels
  • Standard turbocharged, 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine with 123 horsepower
  • Available 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 166 horsepower (required with all-wheel drive)
  • Standard 6-speed automatic transmission
  • Optional Sync 3 infotainment system with 8-in. touch screen, voice recognition, 911 Assist, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone projection, and Sync Connect with FordPass app
  • Optional Harman B&O Play premium sound system, navigation system

2018 Ford Edge

  • New SEL Sport Appearance package adds a popular blacked-out exterior appearance, 19-in. Magnetic Gray wheels, gray fabric seats with Umber-color simulated suede inserts, Copper Dune interior accents
  • New Safe and Smart package for SEL, Titanium, and Sport trims; bundles popular driver-assistance and collision-avoidance systems together
  • New paint color: Blue Metallic

2018 Ford Escape

  • SE trim includes heated cloth front seats, roof rails, and a perimeter alarm
  • New SEL trim level slots between SE and Titanium, installing leather seats, Sync 3 infotainment system with 8-in. display, Sync Connect, heated side mirrors, power tailgate, rear park-assist sensors, and LED running lights
  • Titanium includes a standard turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, HID headlights, navigation system, and an active semi-autonomous park-assist system
  • New paint colors: Cinnamon Glaze and Blue Metallic

2018 Ford Expedition

  • Ford’s full-size SUV is completely redesigned for 2018
  • Aluminum body on a high-strength steel frame with standard- and extended-wheelbase versions available
  • Standard twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission
  • Rear-wheel or 4-wheel drive with Terrain Management System
  • Tows up to 9,300 lbs.
  • Cargo space ranges from 20.9 cu. ft. behind third-row seat in standard Expedition to 121.4 cu. ft. with all seats folded in Expedition Max
  • XLT, Limited, and Platinum trim levels
  • Available FX4 Off-Road package with underbody skid plates, different shocks, heavy-duty radiator, and dark gray 18-in. wheels
  • Options include a panoramic glass roof, Sync 3 infotainment with Sync Connect, navigation, dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system with Sling Media integration, wireless smartphone charging, 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection for up to 10 devices, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, semi-autonomous park assist, hands-free power tailgate, and a Pro Trailer Backup system

2018 Ford Explorer

  • Subtle styling changes; new wheel designs
  • Sync Connect with FordPass remote access smartphone app
  • Sync Connect also supplies access to a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices
  • New Safe and Smart package bundles popular driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies together
  • New paint colors: Blue Metallic, Platinum Dune Tricoat, Burgundy Velvet Tinted Tricoat, and Cinnamon Glaze

2018 Ford F-150

  • Styling is updated, inside and out
  • New 290-horsepower, 3.3-liter V-6 engine debuts with a new 6-speed automatic transmission including Normal, Sport, and Tow-Haul modes
  • New 325-horsepower, twin-turbocharged, 2.7-liter V-6 engine debuts with a new 10-speed automatic transmission with Normal, Sport, Tow/Haul, Snow/Wet, and Eco-Select driving modes
  • Upgraded 5.0-liter V-8 engine makes 395 horsepower, bolted to 10-speed automatic transmission
  • Twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter V-6 engines return, both with the 10-speed automatic
  • All engines are now equipped with automatic start/stop technology
  • Available technologies include Sync Connect with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Harman B&O Play premium sound system, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking
  • Lariat offered with leather bucket front seats and flow-through center console
  • King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trim levels receive new leather interior colors: Kingsville, Dark Marsala, and Navy Pier, respectively
  • New paint colors: Stone Gray, Lead Foot Gray, Guard, Magma Red

2018 Ford F-Series Super Duty

  • Ford redesigned the Super Duty lineup for 2017 and has not yet announced changes for the 2018 model year

2018 Ford Flex

  • Ford makes no changes to the 2018 Flex aside from new Blue Metallic paint

2018 Ford Transit

  • Standard equipment for Cargo Van models includes locking glove box, rear cargo door-lock cylinder, rear cargo door exit handle and rear cargo LED light switch, exposed front lug nuts
  • Standard equipment for Passenger Van models includes locking glove box, rear cargo door-lock cylinder, exposed front lug nuts
  • Medium and High Roof versions get a standard reversing camera, D-pillar weld nuts
  • 60/40 split side doors with optional glass include screen mesh
  • Sliding door option for Cargo Van includes high-strength laminated glass
  • Options include Audio package with Bluetooth, Leather Seat package, dual rear-wheel forged aluminum wheels, heavy-duty cargo flooring, short-arm power-folding heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, scuff plates, D-pillar grab handles, extended-length running boards, and a push-down manual parking brake
  • New paint color: School Bus Yellow

2018 Ford Transit Connect

  • XL and XLT Cargo Vans with second-row fixed glass option now includes a steel mesh security guard
  • Automatic headlights optional for XLT Cargo Van; standard for XLT and Titanium Passenger Wagons
  • XLT Cargo Van and Passenger Wagon now offered with Sync 3 with a 6.5-in. display screen and reversing camera
  • New Premium package option and free wheel upgrade for XLT Passenger Wagon
