2024 Buick Envision Values

Buick might not seem like the most popular car brand in America, and it's not. However, many people don't know that the automaker has a strong foothold in the Chinese market. It's there that Buick builds the Envision, a compact crossover SUV that entered its second generation in 2021. Now, Buick is introducing a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 Envision, bringing unique styling and a significant tech update for the 5-seater.

The 2024 Envision borrows heavily from Buick's Wildcat concept, an electric vehicle (EV) with futuristic lines and a sleek shape. Its front end now features split lighting elements, with the LED running lights higher up and the headlights mounted below. Chrome accents flank the large grille, and the hood features Buick's new tri-shield logo.

Though the automaker hasn't shared many other details, industry observers expect Buick to give the new Envision a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission, and either front- or all-wheel drive. Buick will release electric models based on General Motors' (GM) Ultium EV platform in the coming years. However, it has yet to share its intentions for the Envision after the current generation bows, which we expect after the 2026 model year.

Most interestingly, the updated 2024 Envision will offer access to GM's excellent Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving-assistance feature. It provides hands-free driving on over 400,000 miles of roads in North America, though the driver has to be ready to take control of the vehicle at any time.

The 2023 Buick Envision has a starting price of a little more than $33,000, and we don't expect the refreshed 2024 model to take a significant leap from that amount. Buick will also release a more luxurious Avenir trim, adding plush interior finishes and upscale styling accents as it does with the current SUV.

Buick says it plans to release five all-new or significantly refreshed models through the end of 2024, including the already-announced 2024 Encore GX, 2024 Envista, and the Envision. The Envista will be Buick's final brand-new gas-powered model before it moves to a completely electric catalog by the decade's end. The automaker will announce the other two models soon and has confirmed that one will be electric. Buick recently announced the Electra EV for the Chinese market, and its first EV in the United States will wear the same nameplate.
