Year after year, Ford returns with its most popular SUVs and crossovers plus impressive additions to keep them competitive in an ever-evolving and growing class. Ford’s SUV lineup for 2018 consists of some standard and optional equipment shuffling, new packages, and more significant changes for some vehicles. The Expedition receives some of the more notable changes for the year, including renaming its long-wheelbase EL model to Max, exterior styling tweaks for a more elegant and refined look, and a much-needed interior refresher. The Flex’s main update for the year went to the SYNC 3 system, giving it the ability to integrate with Apple and Android devices. The Explorer received a few techie upgrades, too, like the addition of an available 4G Wi-Fi hotspot with connection for up to 10 devices, but the most noticeable tweaks happened on the exterior with nose and tail revisions. For the Edge, a new SEL Sport Appearance package adds unique 19-inch wheels and several cosmetic changes to the exterior.
