2014 Subaru Ratings, Reviews and Awards
A brand based on the foundation of safety as a priority, it’s not surprising that Subaru gifted several of its vehicles an upgraded Eyesight safety system (and made it more available for its trim options) for the 2014 model year, including the Outback, Forester, and Legacy. Most other improvements to the lineup for this year were technology-based, adding standard smartphone connectivity and infotainment systems to the BRZ and XV Crosstrek and an optional system with navigation to the Tribeca, WRX, Impreza, Outback, and Legacy. The Forester received the majority of the company’s focus this year, with a longer base to allow for more interior space and cargo room, a standard 6-speed manual transmission and optional CVT, revised AWD, standard alloy wheels, and a more fuel-efficient performance. The Legacy came in a close second, boasting standard alloy wheels, a new optional power moonroof, and a redesigned CVT.
