The new tS trim is intended for buyers who want to concentrate more on performance and as such, it features more serious suspension and brakes than the Limited model. 2017 Subaru BRZ trims

2017 BRZ

For 2017, the Subaru BRZ receives several updates. New wheels, a new front fascia and LED headlights and taillights now grace the BRZ's exterior. Inside, infotainment controls now grace the steering wheel, and there's an optional 4.2-inch LCD multifunction display in the gauge cluster that shows performance information. Updated coil springs, dampers and a larger rear stabilizer bar improve the BRZ's suspension, and along with improvements to structural rigidity and revised stability control, handling overall is greatly improved. Under the hood, the transmission has been revised and power is increased to 205 horsepower thanks to new valves, camshaft and cylinder heads, while an aluminum intake manifold and restyled exhaust manifold help to improve air flow. Finally a BRZ "Series.Yellow" edition, limited to 500 cars, offers an exclusive yellow exterior, yellow interior accents, Brembo brakes, Sachs shocks and more.

2013 Subaru BRZ trims

2013 BRZ

The Subaru BRZ is a new compact sports-car model for 2013. As the result of a joint development effort between Subaru and Toyota, with much of the engineering (and assembly) done by Subaru and much of the design done by Toyota, the BRZ is, above all else, a supremely well-balanced sports car.

About BRZ

A 2+2 passenger sports car introduced for 2013, the Subaru BRZ was, in many ways, a different perspective to see the company's modern performance image. The brand's first sports car since the SVX, the BRZ also became the first two-wheel drive vehicle to be sold in the United States by Subaru since 1996. The BRZ's low performance stature has been created to aid aerodynamics and agility. Co-developed in association with fellow Japanese automaker Toyota, Subaru's contribution to the jointly-developed vehicle was a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Boxer engine. Incorporating a fuel injection system using direct and port injection for peak performance, the BRZ's engine produced 200 horsepower. Along with an improved suspension for 2015, the Subaru BRZ line included limited-run WR Blue Pearl and Crystal White Pearl painted vehicles with special interiors. For 2016, the StarLink multimedia system with 6.2-inch touchscreen became standard on the BRZ. In the same year, a 500-unit limited edition Series.HyperBlue Subaru BRZ consisted of special styling touches such as 17-inch alloy wheels, blue interior stitching, simulated carbon fiber center dash panel and glossy black exterior badging.
