2013 Kia Ratings, Reviews and Awards

2013 was a landmark year for Kia, who released a handful of upgrades to several of their most notable model vehicles. First among these was the Kia Forte EX, an SUV which sports a V6 3.6L engine capable of outputting an impressive 285 horsepower when operating at 6400 rpm. The Forte EX also features 260 lb-ft of torque, 4WD, and a six-speed manual transmission which makes the car’s 3878 lbs of mass easy to control. The Kia Rio hatchback also has been updated for 2013, bearing a four-cylinder 1.6L engine with a maximum output of 136 horsepower at 6300 rpm. The Rio’s 48 highway miles per gallon of gas mileage is a welcome addition to the lineup as well. The venerable Kia Soul returns in 2013, rounding out Kia’s crossover selection with a four-cylinder 1.6L engine. The Soul’s 123 lb-ft of torque is more than enough to safely carry plenty of cargo.
