2016 Mazda CX-5 ratings and reviews

A refined, intuitive cabin blends with an eye-catching exterior to create the 2016 Mazda CX-5, a crossover with a high level of comfort and convenience in each of its three trim levels. All trims include standard front-wheel drive, but drivers can opt for all-wheel drive in any of them, and an engine upgrade for the base model, Sport, is also available. The Sport includes a standard 2.0-liter I-4 engine with a six-speed manual, but the upgrade replaces it with a 2.5-liter I-4 with a six-speed automatic transmission, a powertrain that’s standard in the higher trim levels. Included in the Sport are traction and stability control, cruise control, a split-folding rear seat, Bluetooth and audio connectivity, and 17-inch alloy wheels. With the Touring comes a 6-way power driver’s seat, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and upgraded upholstery, while Grand Touring adds 19-inch wheels, heated mirrors and front seats, and automatic windshield wipers.
