Pontiac condensed the number of versions its Vibe hatchback comes in for 2007, discontinuing the GT and all-wheel-drive variants that have been available since its 2003 inception. Predictably, the GT's four-wheel disc brakes, six-speed manual transmission, and 164-horsepower engine are also gone for 2007. Wave Blue replaces Lava Bright Red on the color chart, and a rear cargo cover is a new option.

While there were no changes in 2006, all trims but the Base were discontinued in 2007. The Vibe would traverse 2008 unchanged, with an all-new model being issued in 2009. No changes were in store for 2010.
