Jaguar’s offerings for 2016 include three fresh models—an all-new 2017 XE compact premium sport sedan, a redesigned XF midsize premium sedan, in addition to what Jaguar calls the F-Pace, its first “seductive” performance 5-seat SUV. At the same time, Jaguar discontinued production of its XK “Grand Tourer” following the 2015 model year.

Following is an overview of new or updated features for each 2016 Jaguar model:

  • Optional 6-speed manual transmission
  • Optional all-wheel drive
  • F-Type S with V-8 engine has been discontinued
  • New electric power steering
  • Upscale 17-speaker Meridian sound system is now standard

  • Redesigned midsize premium sedan arrives in late 2016
  • Four trim levels and two supercharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine choices
  • Standard ZF 8-speed automatic transmission features Jaguar’s dial shifter
  • Optional all-wheel drive
  • Headlights, taillights take cues from the F-Type
  • New technology including head-up display and advanced safety systems
  • Next-generation Jaguar InControl infotainment system with 10.2-in. screen is standard
  • Slightly more rear passenger legroom than in previous model
  • EliteCare warranty with 5 years of free scheduled maintenance

  • Refreshed sedan includes adaptive lighting systems and new treatments, large upright grille, and updated front and rear fascia
  • Eight configurations with new R-Sport version
  • Standard equipment includes a host of advanced driver-assist technologies and next-generation InControl infotainment systems
  • Panoramic, tinted-glass roof with power blinds is standard in addition to touch-operated soft door-close system
  • Instrument cluster and graphics are redesigned
  • Higher-end trim levels: XJLR Supercharged and Portfolio boast quilted seats
  • Rear-wheel-drive cars now have electric power steering assist for better fuel efficiency
  • Several sporty, interior treatment, and comfort packages plus higher-end 17-speaker Meridian surround-sound audio systems are available as options
