About xB

The boxy and immensely popular Scion xB debuted in 2004, attracting a younger demographic to Toyota’s lineup with over 36 optional add-ons available. No changes were made the following year, but in 2006 a new steering wheel with media controls, an updated Pioneer audio system and iPod connectivity were added as standard features. There’d be no changes for 2007, but 2008 saw a rounder and sleeker body style with more room inside and a more powerful engine. The xB would go through 2009 unchanged.

In 2010, the exterior was updated and new standard features were added to the interior that included: updated upholstery, telescoping steering wheel, new dash clock, a center console bin, new trim levels and more options. 2011 saw no major changes. HD radio was made standard in 2012, marking the only major update. For 2013, the xB received styling updates to the front and rear on the exterior with new daytime LED running lights. The 10 Series limited-edition model was also released for this year, marking the ten-year anniversary for the carmaker.
