2017 Nissan Titan XD trims

2017 Titan XD

The biggest news for 2017 is the reintroduction of the standard Titan model below the Titan XD. The standard Titan is just a little smaller, considered a true 1/2-ton pickup rather than the slightly larger XD. The standard Titan should be a hit for worksites where its more utilitarian nature and lower base price will endear itself to all manner of buyers.

2016 Titan XD

The Nissan Titan XD is a new full-size pickup for 2016. Nissan is positioning its new Titan as a new class of pickup truck that slots in between traditional heavy-duty and light-duty trucks. Power comes from either a 5.6L gasoline V8 or a Cummins 5.0L V8 turbodiesel, which offers plenty of power and torque for hauling and towing. A new 7-speed automatic is paired up with the gasoline engine. A crew cab is the only cab style, as while a 6.5 feet is the lone bed length. The Titan XD can be fitted with either standard two-wheel drive or optional 4-wheel drive. The base price is $35,290.

About Titan XD

With the Titan XD, Nissan asserted a new era in toughness and capacity for their full-sized truck lineup in 2016. Exhibiting the first major redesign for the Nissan Titan pickup truck since its initial presentation in 2004, the Titan XD was identified by more than just a sharp, muscular style. The 2016 Nissan Titan XD line incorporated a heavy-duty suspension, high-capacity steering system, transmission cooler and a full-length ladder frame chassis in addition to a choice of a powerful gasoline or diesel powerplant. Buyers of the Titan XD could pick a 350-horsepower 5.6-liter Endurance gasoline engine or a Cummins-supplied 5.0-liter V-8 Turbo Diesel engine. Generating heavy-duty level performance of 555 pound-feet of torque at 1,600 rpm thanks to a two-stage turbocharger system and a Bosch fuel system, the turbocharged diesel powerplant allowed the Titan XD to tow a convention load up to 12,314 pounds. Along with the brawny engine power offered with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD promoted a smart design with ample interior space and an optional Utili-track Bed Channel System. Only available as a Crew Cab in 2016, a regular cab and King Cab versions were distributed for 2017.
