For 98, the Diamante got a new ABS system as well remote entry. In 99, a few standard features were added and the car was reduced to one solitary trim level with addable options. A few new body colors and trim updates were all that was in store for 2000-2001. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) was made standard in 2002, alongside a slightly revamped interior and exterior style that offered a new audio control panel and emergency trunk release latch. A new front fascia graced the 2004 model, which also featured a new grille, a new center console, a Sportronic transmission, fog lights with projector beams and a minor updates to various trim levels.
