For 2010, INFINITI's M35 and M45 flagship sedans receive only minor changes. The INFINITI Mobile Entertainment System Package is now included as part of the Premium Package, though that package is no longer available on the M35 models. African Rosewood interior trim is no longer available with the Sport Package and Lakeshore Slate, Desert Shadow and Sahara Sandstone exterior colors have been deleted.

A newly available lane departure prevention system helps improve safety. Previous M35 and M45 Sport models have been replaced by an optional Sport Package, which brings styling differences, rear active steer, and 19-inch sport wheels and tires. The M also gets a number of enhancements, such as a revised front and rear appearance, reshaped fenders and decklid, redesigned fog lamps, new chrome trim, and new 18- and 19-inch wheel designs. Six of the eight available exterior colors are new. Inside, the changes are equally pronounced, with new "Fine Vision" electroluminescent gauges, a revised center console, a new full gray interior color, new door trim, and new wood trim and aluminum texturing throughout. Instrument panel lighting is now in white and violet hues, and the available hard drive navigation system, with integrated digital music system, has been upgraded with XM NavTraffic live traffic-information.

Featuring the completely new INFINITI M styling, the M35 was immediately charged with an exterior displaying graceful but performance-driven lines and a rich, driver-oriented cabin. Leather seating, Bluetooth connectivity and INFINITI Voice Recognition came standard on the M35. A product of Nissan's VQ powerplant family, the 3.5-liter V-6 engine that powered the rear-wheel drive INFINITI M35 or the all-wheel drive M35x. Initially rated to produce 280 horsepower in 2006, engine power was increased to 303 horsepower for the 2009 model year. A seven-speed automatic transmission also joined the power boost. Vehicle Dynamic Control was standard on the M35 while Rear Active Steer adds sharper handling and speed control to the sedan. For 2007, the INFINITI M35 added accident prevention technology with available Lane Departure Warning. An all-new INFINITI M line arriving for 2011 dropped the M35 in favor of the M37.
