Several features formerly optional on the Veracruz are now standard on it for 2010. Among those are a power driver's seat, backup warning system, roof rack rails, fog lamps, automatic headlamps, and leather-trimmed shift knob and steering wheel. Every all-wheel-drive Veracruz now includes heated front seats. Important new options on the Veracruz include an LG navigation system and Infinity Logic 7 premium audio system. Also, six new colors join the lineup: Black Noir Pearl, Blue Titanium Mist, Carbon Steal Mist, Driftwood Metallic, Sahara Bronze and Ultra Silver.

The SE trim has been dropped for 2009. In its place, the GLS offers optional Preferred and Premium packages. The Preferred package includes a power sunroof, power driver seat, heated front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, reverse sonar, 115-volt power outlet, automatic headlights, fog lamps, temperature-controlled center console storage. The Premium package offers all the contents of the Preferred package, but adds leather seat trim, power tailgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror, HomeLink universal garage door opener, compass and 18" alloy wheels.

A newly available navigation system, designed by LG, is the big news for the 2008 Hyundai Veracruz, which was introduced last model year. Additionally, a long list of equipment previously optional on the Veracruz Limited--including adjustable pedals, memory settings, a proximity key fob, rain sensing wipers, lighted scuff plates, and an AC power outlet--are now standard on the uplevel trim. The mid-range SE model also adds a power tailgate and an AC outlet as standard equipment.

Assembled in a mid-sized structure, the Veracruz employed a number of premium touches and a sleek exterior appearance. Offered in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models, the inclusion of standard four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system and electronic stability control gave the 2007 Hyundai Veracruz surefooted handling under more challenging conditions. With continuously variable valve timing and variable intake system, a 3.8-liter V-6 powerplant propelling the Veracruz was borrowed from the Hyundais Azera sedan. Producing 260 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque, the 2007 Veracruz crossovers engine was paired with an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission featuring Shiftronic manual control. Offered in GLS, SE and Limited trim levels, the 2007 model year Veracruz comes exceptionally well equipped. The Hyundai Veracruz GLS model came standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, heated power side mirrors and a six-speaker audio system. The SE model provided sport-oriented styling detailed such as larger 18-inch wheels and a streamlined roof rack. Leather seating, automatic temperature control and a 315-watt Infinity audio system with CD charger is included on the top-trimmed Veracruz Limited. The 2008 model year included equipment enhancements to the SE and Limited versions of the Hyundai crossover and the availability of a new LG navigation system. The SE model of the Hyundai Veracruz was dropped after the 2008 model year while the 2009 version of the crossover received an audio system upgrade that included a USB and iPod port. In 2012, the Veracruz Limited was outfitted with standard second row heated seats and an available Alpine navigation system. With an upgraded Hyundai Santa Fe introduced for 2013 model with seven-passenger seating, the Veracruz was discontinued after five years on the market.
