The 2026 Dodge Charger has been rebuilt from the ground up; the redesign blends vintage muscle-car soul with modern engineering. Now sitting on an all-new platform, it offers both two-door fastback and four-door sedan body styles for the first time. At launch, the legendary HEMI V-8 makes way for a twin-turbocharged inline-six (SIXPACK) engine pumping out 420 or 550 horsepower, paired with standard all-wheel drive. Inside, the retro-inspired cabin features a high-tech overhaul, anchored by a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a massive, customizable digital cluster.

SelectBrowse ListingsDodge has shuffled the lineup of the Charger sedan for 2019. Previously available in AWD, the GT trim is now rear-drive only, while the SXT now offers the option of all-wheel drive. The SRT 392 has been discontinued, while the Daytona trim has morphed into a package for R/T and Scat Pack models. The Charger Scat Pack and Hellcat trims now include line lock and launch control, with the Hellcat also offering torque reserve, which builds boost while stopped to aid in faster launches, and the After-Run Chiller system borrowed from the Demon, which helps cool the supercharger by using a/c refrigerant. R/T and GT models have a revised hood and front fascia, upgraded performance suspension and Dodge Performance Pages to analyze performance metrics in real time.
SelectBrowse ListingsFor 2018 comes the introduction of the GT and GT Plus trim levels. They come equipped similarly to the SXT Plus but with a tuned 300-horsepower V6 engine, 19-inch wheels and standard all-wheel drive. The GT Plus adds leather seats, performance steering wheel with paddle shifters and HID headlamps with HID accent lighting. Super Track Pack is now exclusive to SXT Plus while all trims come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a backup camera with rear parking assist as standard equipment.
SelectBrowse ListingsFor 2017 the Charger's 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen interface gets even better for 2017 with improved screen resolution, faster processing speeds, pinching and zooming functionality and the inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other updates include a new active exhaust system for the 5.7L V8 and the return of the Daytona trim level.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Dodge Charger receives several updates for 2016. SXT models are now available with a Super Track Pack that includes more aggressive, lowered suspension and shorter gearing for improved acceleration. Additionally, SXT and R/T models can now be optioned with the new Blacktop Appearance Package, making the 2016 Charger into a seriously mean looking vehicle. The Blacktop package includes a black grill, 20-inch satin black wheels, aluminum interior trim pieces and a new steering wheel. 2016 also sees the return of "Plum Crazy" to the list of colors the Charger is available in.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Dodge Charger receives several noteworthy updates for 2015. Most evident is a complete exterior restyle. The familiar 4-door shape remains, but a harder, more contemporary edge replaces the retro look that defined the previous car. This includes new LED lighting front and rear. The interior has been revised as well, with a new 7-inch TFT gauge cluster, new instrument panel center stack, and new 3-spoke steering wheel. An 8-speed automatic transmission is now standard on all Chargers, while all-wheel drive is now limited solely to V6 models. Finally, new special models include the R/T Road & Track, as well as the SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat, which comes with a supercharged 6.2L V8 that makes 707 horsepower. Dodge claims the Charger Hellcat will hit 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, on its way to an incredible 204-mph top speed. Prices range from $27,995 for the rear-wheel-drive SE to $63,995 for the SRT Hellcat.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Redline trim is new for 2014, and adds 20-inch wheels, several aero accessories, a "Beats by Dre" sound system and a sport-tuned exhaust which good for an additional eight horsepower from the V6 engine. Several new colors are also available for 2014, but the Charger remains otherwise unaltered.
SelectBrowse ListingsFor 2013, Charger V6 models with the Rallye Appearance Package and Blacktop Package get a new cold-air induction system that raises engine output to 300 horsepower. Separately, a new Sport Appearance Group for the SE model adds a rear spoiler plus 18-inch chromed alloy wheels and performance tires. On the high-performance SRT8 model, launch control has been made standard, and the available adaptive damping system now has three driver-selectable modes. For the first time a Pitch Black painted-roof option as well as Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Copperhead Pearl Coat, Granite Crystal Pearl Coat, Jazz Blue Pearl Coat and Phantom Black Tri-Coat are all exterior colors added this year. Audio offerings improve with the introduction of a new 'Beats by Dr. Dre' audio system that offers high-quality audio.
SelectBrowse ListingsBig news for the 2012 Dodge Charger is the addition of a new SRT8 model to the lineup. With a 6.4L, 470-horsepower Hemi V8, big Brembo brakes and 20-inch wheels, and 2-mode adaptive dampers, the new model is a menacing performance sedan. Elsewhere, SXT models come standard with a new 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, while the unit is optional on SE models.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Dodge Charger receives a refresh for 2011, its first major overhaul since the model was re-introduced in 2006. It gets a simplified trim lineup, a new V6 engine, transmission and some dramatic exterior re-styling.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe Charger is carried over into 2010 with virtually no changes. Supplemental side-curtain airbags are newly standard on all models, while there are a couple of appearance changes of note. All models get new body-color sill cladding, while Charger SE trims gets a new chromed grille with black insert.
SelectBrowse ListingsThe most notable changes to the 2009 Dodge Charger come where everyone wants them to be--under the hood. A new 5.7L Hemi V8 with variable valve timing now powers the R/T model. It puts out 368 hp and 398 ft-lb of torque, up from 340 hp and 390 ft-lb. It also features Dodge's fuel-saving Multi-Displacement System (MDS), which disengages cylinders when cruising. Also new are the Action Transfer Case and Front Axle Disconnect in all-wheel-drive models. The system maximizes fuel efficiency by powering only the rear wheels during normal driving, and engaging the front wheels when conditions require extra traction. Rear taillights have been revised across the range, while the base SE now gets standard aluminum wheels, better floor mats, and upgraded interior treatment. Power is down, however, and the SE now produces 178 hp versus last year's 186 hp. In the top SRT8 model, a new Super Bee model in Hemi Orange is available.
SelectBrowse ListingsFor 2008, the Dodge Charger gets a refreshed interior, with a redesigned instrument panel, plus new seat material and new soft-touch surfaces used on armrests, the center console, and door trim. The Charger R/T has expanded equipment, with air filtration, heated front seats, a power passenger seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and express up/down front windows now included. The available UConnect hands-free system now includes an iPod interface, the cruise-control stalk has been relocated, LED interior lighting is now available, and satin-chrome bezels and accents have been added to the interior. The line of sound systems has also been revised; the MyGig multimedia entertainment system now has a navigation option, Sirius satellite radio with a one-year subscription is now standard on the SXT model and optional on the SE, and Sirius Backseat TV is now offered for the first time. Both Sirius services include a one-year subscription. Newly available Popular Equipment Packages are available for each trim level. Power-adjustable pedals are now standard on the SXT, xenon HID headlamps are optional on the R/T, and seat-mounted side air bags are now standard on the Daytona R/T model, optional elsewhere in the line. Wheel designs have also been revamped across the entire model line, and in the color palette Dark Titanium Metallic and Light Sandstone Metallic replace Marine Blue Pearl and Silver Steel Metallic.
SelectBrowse ListingsDodge adds two new Charger models for 2007. While the SE and SRT8 are only rear-wheel drive, the R/T is now available with all-wheel drive, and the SXT is an all-wheel-drive-only model. The all-wheel-drive models use a 38/62 front/rear torque split and retain their rear-wheel drive character for handling, but add the security of four driven wheels in slippery conditions.
SelectBrowse ListingsFirst appearing with the Dodge brand back in 1966, the Charger name represented one of the most iconic vehicles of the muscle car era. For the 2006 model year, Dodge revived the Charger nameplate for an all-new time and purpose with a four-door sedan.
Unlike the Intrepid it replaced, the Dodge Charger was rear-wheel drive and offered a V-8 powerplant option (Dodges first car to be powered by an eight-cylinder engine since the Diplomat in 1989). Defined as a two-door product for prior to 2006, the return of the Dodge Charger in the 21st century stood as a bold attempt to invoke enthusiasm in their full-sized sedan.
A 2.7-liter V-6 engine powered the base Charger SE while the SXT model featured a 250-horsepower 3.5-liter High Output powerplant. Features found at the base level of the 2006 Charger line-up included air conditioning, four-wheel disc brakes, keyless entry and a CD player. A 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine generating up to 368 horsepower powered the R/T and R/T Daytona models of the 2006 Dodge Charger. As the top-rated performance version of the four-door Charger, the SRT-8 received a 6.1-liter producing 425 horsepower.
Besides general customers, the rear-wheel drive Charger was also favorably received by law enforcement as many North American police departments have placed the four-door Dodge in their vehicle fleet. In 2007, an all-wheel drive version of the Charger was offered with the SXT and R/T trim levels.
Also in 2007, a Super Bee variant Charger SRT-8 was inaugurated as a special appearance, limited edition model with unique paint and decals. In 2011, a 292-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 replaced the both six-cylinder engines previously included with the Charger. For the 2015 model year, the Dodge Charger received a styling facelift at the front and the rear.
