An evolution from the Aston Martin Vanquish, the Vanquish S gave the British brand’s flagship grand tourer enhanced performance clout. The Aston Martin Vanquish S was introduced to the marketplace in 2005 with an aluminum body structure also featuring a pronounced front splitter and rear spoiler. Possessing the same 5.9-liter V-12 engine as the previous Vanquish, the Aston Martin Vanquish S was the recipient of a massive power boost to 520 horsepower (60 horsepower greater than its predecessor). Mated with a six-speed manual transmission with electro-hydraulic control, the Vanquish S could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds. The top speed for the 2005 model was rated to exceed 200 miles per hour. Ventilated front and rear disc brakes allowed the 2005 model to provide qualified road manners for the 520-horsepower sports car. The Aston Martin Vanquish S was available with a 2+2 or a two-passenger interior. Sales of the Aston Martin Vanquish S lasted for only a two-year span in the United States ending after 2006.
