About ZDX

Spawned from a concept car first sketched by young female designer Michelle Christensen, the Acura ZDX was led to production as the first project sculpted entirely in the luxury brand's California design studio. Despite the platform and stature of a crossover vehicle, Acura advertised the ZDX as a four-door sport coupe. The Acura ZDX base is the same platform used for the MDX. Arriving to dealerships for the 2010 model year, the Acura ZDX came standard with a 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V-6 engine and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. Exterior and interior design of the unusual vehicle received both award-winning praise as well as criticism. Manufactured until the end of the 2013 model year, fewer than 7,200 examples of the Acura ZDX were sold over its production run.
