Referring to their crossover utility products as a Sport Activity Vehicle or a Sport Activity Coupe, BMW currently features a large assortment of high ground clearance models. BMW's first premium crossover vehicle was the X5 considered to be a pioneer of the car-based unibody construction. The BMW X1 and BMW X3 have been added to the North American line-up as smaller, more affordable entry to the luxury utility market. Along with some traditional designs, BMW's crossover vehicle line-up contents some radical shapes. First introducing the sport sedan mimicking X6, BMW also debuted the smaller X4 in 2015 based on the same design format of a sport activity coupe. Along with a spacious interior and roadworthy handling, BMW's X5 and X6 are also offered with the brand's high-performance M line modifications.
