2020 Honda Insight Reliability

This model year reflects the second one in the latest edition of the 2020 Honda Insight which returned in 2019 after a five-year hiatus. The hybrid carries on the tradition from last year with no significant mechanical changes. The automaker swapped out the White Orchid Pearl exterior color for the revamped Platinum White Pearl, keeping the choices to seven. LX

• The base model sports a 107-horsepower, 1.5-liter, inline four-cylinder engine with a two-speed, continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive and front-wheel drive, the same power plant for all three trim levels.
• The engine delivers 197 pound-feet of torque and a combined MPG of 52.
• All Insights have a three-driving mode system with an EV option only to use the electric motor.
• Comfort is still in the driver’s seat with cloth trim and upholstery, six-way driver’s seat, a sports steering wheel, and a rear bench.
• All trim levels have the Honda Sensing system which provides state-of-the-art driver-assist and safety features including adaptive cruise control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Collision Mitigation Braking, and autonomous emergency braking.
• The LX trim level starts at $22,930.

EX

• Connectivity gets a jumpstart with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, two USB ports, and HondaLink internet access in addition to Bluetooth and streaming audio.
• The sound system kicks it up a notch with a SiriusXM AM/FM/HD/Satellite radio with a free three-month trial subscription, an 8-inch touchscreen, and eight speakers, up from the six in the LX.
• Added amenities include remote engine start, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, Honda LaneWatch, and Google Maps.
• Safety features include LED daytime running lights, immobilizer, SmartVent side-impact airbags, and power locks, standard on all builds
• The EX starts at $24,310.

Touring

• The Touring edition takes comfort to the next level with heated front seats with power adjustment settings, a power moonroof, and leather upholstery.
• Entertainment gets a serious upgrade with a ten-speaker premium sound system, 450W amplifier, and WiFi hotspot connectivity.
• The HondaLink system adds enhanced roadside assistance, automatic collision notification, Amazon In-Car Delivery, Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice activation, and a personal concierge service.
• Other exclusive amenities include 17-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
• This model is slightly heavier with a curb weight of 3,078 pounds versus the 3,000 of the EX and 2,987 of the LX.
• The Touring edition starts at $28,340.
