This model year sees the next generation of the Altima with an edgier profile, fitting for the under-the-hood modifications. The new engine option is a 248-horsepower, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo version with continuously variable automatic transmission to boost fuel economy. All-wheel drive is also now available. It ups the ante with automatic emergency braking, ProPilot Assist adaptive cruise control, and Android Auto-Apple CarPlay integration out of the box. The Maxima receives a minor facelift along with the new tech. The Sentra has some minor upgrades including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration on all but its base trim level. The SV gets a new Special Edition Package which includes safety features such as Intelligent Cruise Control and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The Leaf garners some attention too with a battery upgrade to up its electric range to 226 miles with its Plus edition. Both e-Pedal one-pedal-driving system and Rear Door Alert are now standard.
