Volvo maintains a selection of two luxury crossover vehicles for the 2017 model year. Adding a completely-new version of their flagship XC90 premium utility for the 2016 model year, Volvo extends the engine lineup for the new year. A turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 250 horsepower now propels the 2017 Volvo XC90 T5 crossovers. The new powerplant joins the supercharged and turbocharged 2.0-liter powered model and the T8 Twin Engine Plug-in Hybrid version of the XC90. Providing high luxury for rear occupants, the new XC90 Excellence model features two supportive, individual seats split by a large center console and a beverage cooler. The Volvo XC60 crossover no longer offers a turbocharged five-cylinder engine for 2017. Other changes to the XC60 during 2017 will include new exterior colors as well as updated wheel designs. There are strong indications a third smaller Volvo crossover vehicle will debut in 2018.
