The 2017 Ford GT relies on a 600-plus horsepower, twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 engine and is shaped with by modern race car-derived carbon fiber construction. The majority of blue oval coupe fans remain catered by the Ford Mustang coupe and convertible for 2017. Changes are minor for the 2017 Mustang as a turbocharged four-cylinder, V-6 and V-8 engine are available through the mainstream lineup. Powered by a 5.2-liter V-8 generating 526-horsepower, the Shelby GT350 version of the Mustang returns in 2017 with standard Track Package featuring aluminum tower-to-tower bracing, a large rear spoiler as well as coolers for the engine oil, transmission and differential. Buyers of the lightweight 2017 Ford Shelby GT350R can also opt for a rear seat option.
