2017 Ford Mustang Review

Since 1964 the Ford Mustang has always been about performance. Today’s model continues that tradition – and then some. From powerful engines to road-grabbing suspensions America’s original Pony car has it all. With nine versions to choose from including Fastback and Convertible body styles and two Shelby GT350s there’s a Mustang for you. Three engines are ready to deliver. Start with the available 2.3-liter EcoBoost. Its twin-scroll single turbocharger and direct-injection technology help Mustang deliver best-in-class inline-4 horsepower and torque. With all that power you’ll want to keep your eyes on the road. And that’s easy with available voice-activated SYNC technology—just say the word and stay connected to the world around you. Take the party on the road with the available 12-speaker Shaker Pro Audio System featuring HD Radio Technology. Add the available Navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link and you’ll be a true road warrior in no time. With nearly endless custom exterior and interior choices plus the convertible option your new Mustang will be as unique as you are. The Ford Mustang. The legend continues.
There’s performance inside your new Mustang as well. Selectable Drive Modes let you dial in preferred handling dynamics. Just choose from 4 different modes by flipping a toggle switch. Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel with the available voice-activated SYNC technology. It keeps you connected. With two SYNC options you’ll find one that’s right for you. And you can take the party on the road with the 12-speaker Shaker Pro Audio System featuring HD Radio Technology.
Your new Mustang offers a number of driver-assist technologies with sophisticated sensors that can help keep you out of danger. Like the Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert that warns you if traffic is approaching from the side or in your blind spot. A standard Rear View Camera provides video of the area behind the car on a standard 4.2-inch multifunction display or the available eight-inch color LCD touch screen. Adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support helps maintain space between vehicles and alerts you to a potential collision.
There’s an engine to fit your needs. Each of the available Mustang power plants delivers at least 300 horsepower. Standard on the V6 Fastback the 3.7-liter V6 offers up 300 horsepower and 280 pound feet of torque. Standard on EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium models the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine puts out 310 horsepower and 320 pound feet of torque. The 5-liter V8 produces 435 horsepower and 400 pound feet of torque. It’s standard on GT and GT Premium models. On the Shelby GT350 the standard 5.2-liter V8 delivers 526 hp and 429 pound feet of torque.
